ABSTRACT

Supramolecular chemistry is a new and growing interdisciplinary area of chemistry. During the last few decades, an enormous increase in research in this area can be deduced from the large number of publications. Selective recognition of cations, anions or neutral molecules by host molecules has been studied in detail [1-3]. The knowledge about these reactions has been used, for example, for the synthesis of large interlocked molecules or polymers [4-9].
