ABSTRACT
Gear lubrication is usually the third consideration a§er the bending strength and contact stress have been satisŸed on a particular design. Gear lubrication provides two principal functions: lubrication and cooling. Without these two lubrication-related functions, a successful design from the bending strength and load capacity view will result in early failure.
