ABSTRACT

Pipeline quality natural gas specifications (see Chapter 6) include limits on acid gases, water content, and higher heating value, which is typically in the range of 950-1150 Btu/scf (35.4-42.8 MJ/ Nm3) (Engineering Data Book, 2004a). In addition, many pipeline tariffs* include hydrocarbon

dew point or cricondentherm temperature (defined in Section 12.1.1) specifications. In the United States, specifications are set by negotiation between the processor and the purchaser. In some countries, exact limits are set by national standards.
