ABSTRACT
In Chapter 4 we presented and discussed aspects of two-dimensional (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) optical modeling and showed the development of 2-D optical simulator FEMOS 2-D based on the finite element method. In this chapter we demonstrate examples of 2-D simulations of thin-film silicon solar cells, using the FEMOS 2-D simulator. One can use any other 2-D numerical simulator, with similar characteristics, to carry out the presented simulations.
