ABSTRACT
Common bean is highly susceptible to drought stress or water deficit, and the production of this crop in many places of the world is carried out under drought stress conditions, due to insufficient water supply by rainfall and/or irrigation. Drought stress influences several important plant processes, including plant water potential and stomatal behavior, which have direct effect on gas exchange. Changes in plant water status are directly related to the temperature crop canopy.
