ABSTRACT
However, work by Jeffreys [1,2] , Savage [3], and Berger [4] had demonstrated how the subjective component of probability can be incorporated within a mathematically rigorous thought process. This integration, using the same rules we developed in Chapter One for probability calculations, leads to precise, interpretable results. In this chapter, we will introduce easily understood notational devices that permit this integration.
