ABSTRACT
In the post-independence era, the growth in agriculture produce was phenomenal, as mentioned in the earlier chapters. is gave opportunities for many traders to consider processing, and entrepreneurs and rms realized the potential of processed agricultural produce among people. Population growth, urbanization and growth in income and wealth, as well as the support of the government through scal measures and direct intervention, paved the way for increase in demand for processed agricultural produce and more so from organized business.
