ABSTRACT
This chapter takes further the issues of women’s symbolic representation in the context of work organizations by focusing on the role of the visual in performatively constituting the sexual and gendered body. We do this through developing understanding of the materiality of the female professional’s be-suited body, and in particular on the gaze that is turned upon that body.
