ABSTRACT
This book originates from a certain dissatisfaction with some kinds of orthodoxy prevailing in contemporary heterodox thought, especially Marxism. Recent research has brought to light a few problems and paradoxes that impair the critique of political economy at its most abstract theoretical levels.
