ABSTRACT

Media integration has been among the most distinctive in the film industries in the past several decades. From Hollywood majors, such as Warner Brothers and Walt Disney, to small film exhibition firms in developing countries, including Korea, Mexico, and Argentina, many film corporations have expanded their investments, both domestically and globally, and have transnationalized their businesses through corporate integration. Due to their importance as both cultural symbols and money-making businesses, many media corporations around the world have increased their capital involvement in the film industries.
