ABSTRACT

In earlier chapters we examined the deliberations about whether to invest in the refurbishment of a residential block at the Chauncey Club, the conference centre owned by Kingston Oil. The company, advised by their experienced property manager Horatio Black, decided to proceed. The project team are now considering specific details of the work to be undertaken, and are encountering further difficulties where there is a mismatch between the manager’s gut feel and what the numbers seem to say.
