ABSTRACT

This chapter considers the design of instruction from multiple perspectives. First, this chapter discusses ID models and processes, including the systematic design of instruction, Gestalt design, and rapid prototyping. Then this chapter considers user experience design, which offers important guidelines and processes to assist with the design of instructional apps. Then, with a view toward real world implementation, this chapter considers project management and the diffusion of innovations. Next, in a grand synthesis of principles from multiple disciplines, this chapter offers an epitome of instructional design. Lastly, this chapter claims that creativity conquers complexity.
