ABSTRACT
This chapter seeks to identify the process of innovation in small construction firms, in particular, by using case studies to address whether the process is rational and/or behavioural in nature.
The case study findings reveal that the innovation process follows an iterative, nonlinear cycle of phases, as shown in Figure 7.1.
