ABSTRACT
The arrival of the members of the Committee in Europe after a month of theoretical discussions, and their confrontation with Jewish suffering in the flesh, proved a most shocking experience, one which haunted them long afterwards. Although they visited different areas, divided as they were into sub-committees, their overall impressions were of a similar nature.
