ABSTRACT

This chapter presents comparative analysis from the viewpoint of the financial nature of the institutions in the study. The majority of the students reported that the visible impacts of New Educational Technologies (NET) use are better communication and collaboration with classmates, skill development and greater control of class activities. With regards to the impact of NET, all types of institutions have acknowledged that adoption of new technologies contributes to better quality teaching and research. One policy implication is that government should remain watchful and provide appropriate bandwidth so that educational institutions can access appropriate bandwidth in order to ensure more integrated NET. The second policy implication is that universities should be encouraged to conduct regular capacity-building programmes to ensure that the teaching fraternity is not only well informed about new technologies but also they can use these technologies and reap their benefits.
