ABSTRACT

The final chapter sums up the contents of the book and highlights its main contributions: the wide notion of media accessibility and film studies, the distinction between access to content and access to creation, the concepts of the global version, the dubbing effect and subtitling blindness, the introduction of the director of accessibility and translation and the accessible filmmaking workflow. It ends by making a case for accessible filmmaking as an approach that makes both financial and common sense and that is available for those accessible filmmakers who truly believe in making films for all.
