Introduction

In 2011, What’s the Buzz? A Social Skills Enrichment Programme for Primary Students was released by Routledge for teachers, school support workers, parents, homeschoolers and a range of allied health professionals to awaken the social and emotional awareness in youngsters. This program was originally pitched at students aged from 8 to 12 years. It quickly found its way into dozens of countries, hundreds of schools, charities, government organisations and the private practices of allied health professionals.
