ABSTRACT

In this book, we have presented an analytical approach to choosing the -correct word to use in a given sentence. We have discussed the three linguistic criteria that will help us choose the correct word in the following order: morpho-syntactic, syntactic, and/or semantic. Throughout the discussion in this book, we have reviewed major grammatical and linguistic concepts including but not restricted to the following: parts of speech / syntactic categories , tense , aspect , mood , case , agreement , functions and distribution of the verb [BE], expletives .
