“Did you hear?” asked Georgia, in an ominous tone, as she pushed the button on the coffee machine. “We have a new corporate initiative.” It was only 7:30 a.m., but it was clear that this was not Georgia’s first cup of coffee. “Do you want to hear it from me, or do you want to wait until the staff meeting this afternoon?” As their Director’s administrative assistant, Georgia was often the first to hear news, and the first to share it.
