ABSTRACT
This final chapter addresses the accusation of indoctrination frequently directed at those who seek to teach religious studies and thereby initiate their pupils into a religious form of life. But such an accusation ignores the long tradition of philosophical and spiritual thinking which justifies the reasonableness of religious belief, and thus the connection between faith and reason. Therefore, one might well ask: who is doing the indoctrinating?
