ABSTRACT

Graphical features such as frames, lines, and flowcharts are used to describe immersive communication. This chapter analyzes the existing major models of communication, and the basis proposes the model of immersive communication. During communication, information flows from the transmitter to the receiver. Accordingly, the historical development of communication models can shed light on people’s cognitive development in terms of the relationship between the transmitter and the receiver. A model of communication represents a formula for studying the process, nature, and effects of communication. The model of immersive communication mainly refers to the various ways and paths of information generation, communication, acceptance, production, and re-communication that take place between remote and ubiquitous space, that is, physical and virtual space. The primary premise and ultimate goal of immersive communication is to realize human-centered communication. The Communication Immersion Index is also conceived in the immersive communication effect model.
