ABSTRACT

Project design should take into account the intellectual, institutional, and financial resources available for each phase of the project. Clear identification of roles and responsibilities of all participants and a plan for the long-term maintenance of the work should take into account the costs of sustainability. Ethical consideration of intellectual property issues is an essential aspect of project design and management. The context for project development will be a factor in its design. Institutional constraints or resources, grant guidelines, and the requirements set by funding sources will need to be considered from the outset.
