ABSTRACT

A classroom is a great place for learning, but sitting at the same desk every day can be boring and dull for some students. Students with dyslexia love to have their work displayed in front of other students as it makes them feel proud. Most students with dyslexia struggle with distractions to some degree inside the classroom. Many students with dyslexia study with one eye on their textbook and the other eye on their social media feed. Assigning group work is a good teaching strategy as indeed by working together in small groups, students with dyslexia get the chance to: Develop their critical thinking skills, exchange their knowledge, share their experiences and improve their attitudes towards learning. Competition makes learning seem more like a game, which in turn transforms school to being fun and students with dyslexia feel excited to be there. Teachers should help their students with dyslexia discover their preferred learning styles.
