ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on working with digitized text. Topics discussed include how to get digitized text, building a dataset and ways to query text, language considerations, special characters, images, and digital editions. Also discussed are the topics of copyright and e-books, particularly Google Books and Project Gutenberg. Spotlighted projects include the work of Ted Underwood on distant reading and Kenton Rambsy on his critical edition, #TheJayZMixtape.
