ABSTRACT

Several of the arch examples studied in Chapter 7 are re-worked in the GeoGebra parametric drawing environment. Large span arches, arches whose base points land at different elevations, and unsymmetrically loaded arches, all pose no additional challenges when using the Modern Müller-Breslau Method. Techniques for studying curved arches are described in detail. The chapter closes with several études for deeper study and practice.
