ABSTRACT
Teachers are sometimes a little nervous of poetry. Some don’t really realize the value of it so I’ll remind you that children who experience poetry become extra-skilled in written and spoken language. The repetition and word patterning help with reading skills. Most importantly, poetry is hugely enjoyable.
