Although understanding effective instruction is key, we now want to go back to what the heart of the book is about: the house metaphor. Remember that your house is split into three parts: the foundation, the structure, and the maintenance. Those three aspects represent three crucial pieces of effective classroom management: building relationships, having high and clear expectations, and consistency. It’s now time to start building your house!
