ABSTRACT

This chapter presents special attention to the other imaging systems, namely the attentional system, perceptival system and force-dynamic system. In distribution of attention imaging system, serious consideration is given to issues such as foregrounding versus backgrounding in attention, figure-ground organization, windowing of attention, scope of attention, profile selection, and strength of attention whether it is placed on the scope of intention or extent of causation. In force dynamic system, as an imaging system it “derives from kinaesthesia and somesthesia”. Force dynamics deals with the forces that each and every element in the scene may exert on another element. When force-dynamic patterns are discussed, two entities, that is, agonist and antagonist, are assumed. In perspective system, it is concerned with how people fix their mind’s eye to look out upon a scene and its participants. Any change in the imaging systems will not only change the mental image but will promote a different narrative.
