ABSTRACT

The cross-sectoral interaction and cooperation in the communication of nutritional health has been identified as a strategic research and investment area by national governments and international health authorities like the World Health Organization. The key research question that this book focuses on is whether and to what extent different industrial sectors currently interact with one another in the communication and industrial commercialisation of health research findings. Through the introduction and exploration of large-scale digital industry news resources, this book extracted and analysed a range of textual patterns which identified new growing trends of inter-sectoral interaction around the communication of nutritional health in Chinese at international and national levels. It was argued that inter-sectoral interaction as a useful analytical tool could be further explored to identify areas that require greater policy intervention to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of current health communication and promotion programmes and efforts based on global health research. Moreover, inter-sectoral interaction can be explored to provide incentives for innovative social programmes and business models to innovate and transform traditional industrial sectors and domains.
