ABSTRACT
In July 2016 Susana Schuler was promoted to executive vice president, content & operations for Raycom Media. In that role, Schuler oversees news, marketing, digital content, programming and research for the company. Prior to joining Nexstar, Schuler served in news management roles in Pennsylvania, Indiana and Texas as well as anchor, reporter, producer and assignment manager roles in Texas and Pennsylvania. She currently serves as president of the Alabama Christian Academy President's Council. She also volunteers for the American Cancer Society, Race for the Cure and the American Red Cross. In 2010, the Radio Television Digital News Foundation honored Schuler with the First Amendment Service Award for her work in championing First Amendment rights of journalists across the country. Schuler, her husband Ray Willingham and younger daughter Monica live in Montgomery, Alabama. Their older daughter, son-in-law and grandson are part of the US Army, thanks to her son-in-law's enlistment in 2010.
