ABSTRACT

There is nothing more critical to the success of a business than the quality of judgements and decisions it makes. However the challenge facing decision makers everywhere, even if many may not wish to admit it, is that decisionmaking behaviour is extremely imprecise. Furthermore we are not as skilled in decision making as we like to believe we are. Besides while we would like to believe that organisations are largely built on ideas of rationality, they in fact operate in irrational ways because it is people that are tasked with making organisations work, and people bring emotions with them.
