ABSTRACT

Groupwork is one of the most complained about educational techniques ever known. Everyone has a “group-project-gone-wrong” story from some part of their educational experience. We don’t have to tell you the complaints: one member carries the group and is highly resentful; everyone gets the same grade, no matter what; no one’s contributions are equivalent, and I always think yours were less than mine; groups are not actually synergistic or actual teamwork but rather an amalgam of individual projects.
