Global servants and servants of God: Sacrificial mothers, daughters and wives

The irony is that the domestic helpers in my data often refer to themselves as servants, or, more frequently, as helpers. They see themselves as servants of God who have come to Hong Kong to serve him and their families, as well as the people of Hong Kong. Excerpt 13 gives an example.
