ABSTRACT
As the prominent transnational protests often surrounding the meetings of major international organizations such as the WTO and IMF signify, globalization has been a contentious process. Even optimistic proponents of globalization cannot deny its fair share of potential problems. It is debatable whether economic globalization is delivering mainly prosperity or exploitation, whether political globalization is generating peace or terrorism, and whether cultural globalization is offering pleasure or killing off traditions.
