ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 discusses the tension between religions and the Western schools model and deals with the following topics: El Camino de Santiago: The Way of Saint James; commodification of religious experiences; pilgrimages and spirituality; religion and secular humanism: El Camino de Santiago; the Western school model and Islam: maintaining religious values; and religion, education and fellowship in the decade of wars of religion.
