ABSTRACT

This chapter outlines specific practices that teacher educators can use to support students toward success on teacher licensure exams. These practices generate from the two scholarly frameworks in Chapter 6. Addressing practices at programmatic levels, the chapter outlines the importance of developing centralized licensure exam supports, structuring for students’ mastery experiences, and making vicarious models of success visible to them. At classroom levels, the chapter outlines practices related to the beliefs, heuristics, and subjective ideas that inform performance and skills development. Overall, this chapter provides teacher educators with practical recommendations that they can apply and adapt into their own settings.
