ABSTRACT
Change is a permanent fixture of modern higher education and assessment is a function aimed at negotiating change processes. Understanding how change occurs is, therefore, critical to assessment leaders’ success. Applications of theories in this chapter help assessment leaders understand how assessment’s main espoused goals–change and improvement–can best be accomplished.
