The British Library has signed an agreement with Taylor & Francis, and Elsevier, for document delivery outside the UK to non-commercial researchers. The agreement governs the supply of copies of articles from the British Library’s Document Supply Service to non-commercial end users via not-for-profit libraries outside the UK.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is pleased to announce a significant expansion of the Access to Research for Development and Innovation (aRDi) program to now include a total of around 200 online scientific and technical journals. The global academic publisher, Taylor & Francis, a founding partner of the aRDi program, has generously agreed to contribute a further 150 journals to the program. Growth has been achieved through a mix of co-publishing arrangements, society contracts and purchase. The largest factor in this accelerated growth is winning new society contracts: over the past two-and-a-half years, a society title has joined the company at an average rate of more than one a week. .

Press Release - Why sub-Saharan Africa's population growth could overwhelm attempts to improve its living standards
Unless enough people in sub-Saharan Africa obtain affordable, productive employment in the next few years, population growth will overwhelm attempts to improve the region's low living standards.
This is the finding of a new analysis by development economists Robert Eastwood and Michael Lipton at the University of Sussex. Their findings are in the March issue of the journal Population
Studies.
