ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with those properties of hardened concrete that affect floors. Freshly mixed concrete sets in a few hours, but important changes continue for a long time after that. These are the properties of hardened concrete that matter most in floors:
• strength; • impact resistance; • modulus of elasticity; • drying shrinkage; • thermal coefficient.
