The international definition of ‘Quality’ as stated in ISO 9000:2000 is ‘the degree to which a set of inherent characteristics fulfils requirements.’
But what of quality assurance and quality control? Although the terms ‘quality assurance’ and ‘quality control’ are both aimed
at ensuring the quality of the end product, they are in fact two completely separate processes.
