ABSTRACT
A memory card is the recording medium whereby digital image data are electronically stored. Memory cards are effectively the equivalent of digital film. The starter card that comes with most digital cameras hardly holds any photographs at all; it is fine to test whether the camera is working properly when you first buy it, but you will soon require at least one extra card.
