Mapping the Values of Individuals

One of the best ways of raising the awareness of the members of the

leadership group to the importance of values alignment is to provide

them with their own personal profiles from the cultural values assess-

ment. They are able to see, first hand, their own top personal values, the

values they see in the organization, and the values they would like to see

in the organization. They are also able to compare their results with the

overall results of the leadership group. This can be particularly mean-

ingful when the individual’s results differ significantly from the group as

a whole. When this occurs, it either means that this individual is the

“truth-teller” of the group or it may be indicative of a lack of cultural fit.

In either case it may be time for the individual to reflect on his or her
