ABSTRACT
The Gas Industry is very much concerned with the transfer of heat. Its principal task is to take the heat energy from the gas and transfer it to people, food, air, water or industrial products. It follows, therefore, that an understanding of the methods of heat transfer is required if this heat is to be effectively and efficiently transferred. Heat may be transferred by three principal processes:
1. conduction 2. convection 3. radiation.
