ABSTRACT
First, digital improvements over the past several years allow color,
saturation, and sharpness to be superior to what fi lm can achieve.
Second, digital allows for online proofi ng, which means that the couple
and their friends and family can look through the proofs regardless of
where they reside. Third, digital allows for almost instantaneous feed-
back. Rodney Bailey, who is the exclusive photographer for this book
and is featured in Vendor Spotlight, Case 15.1, explains that when he
is hired for two-day coverage such as the wedding day and a brunch
the following day, he can pull together a set of images from the
wedding and set them to music for a slide show that can be presented
during the brunch. Finally, digital images can be safely stored in mul-
tiple locations so there is no fear of losing original work.
