ABSTRACT

Thankfully, even with the up-tick of those entering the wedding plan-

ning fi eld, there is enough business to go around. Brides continue to

far outnumber planners. The Association of Bridal Consultants (2006)

is a professional organization with over 4,000 members from 26 coun-

tries; this same organization estimates that in the United States alone,

there are approximately 10,000 consultants. This means that for every

U.S. planner, there are approximately 220 potential couples-certainly

more work than most wedding planners could handle in one year.
