ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the scope, diversity, and opportunities within the Asian or Pacific Rim region. It begins with an overview of Pacific Basin countries and presents demographics on six Central Asian nations of growing economic importance. Then it examines in some depth, a dozen cultures and business climates of the principal Asia “players” within the global marketplace, especially China, India, and Japan.
