ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to provide an historical overview of Canada and the United States as well as some important cultural similarities and differences.
As the United States is the only remaining “superpower” some perceptions of other nations are suggested. We have provided some “cultural informations on Canada and an overview of Mexico is presented in Chapter 12. These three nations are partners in NAFTA (The North American Free Trade Agreement).
