Other people cannot make you develop or improve, this is highly personal, and ultimately you need to be aware of the development opportunities that present themselves and make the most of them.

In Session B we looked at the most common forms of development activity, and by now you probably have a reasonable idea of which ones attract you and which don’t. You may also have a pretty good idea about which ones are realistic for you. However, to summarize the important points again briefly: when making the decision about which form of activity is right for you, it may be helpful to run through the following factors with your manager or mentor.
