Section 2 Meeting development needs
Development should be carefully planned and meticulously organized to meet the real needs of both the individual and the organization. Anything less is a waste of time and money.
In this section of the workbook we will be focusing on:
Informal or formal development? Informal staff development often occurs because a senior member of staff spots talent and potential in a more junior member of staff. The senior person may, in an informal way, encourage that talent and potential by offering signiﬁcant development opportunities as and when they occur.
