ABSTRACT
UK health and safety legislation consists of a number of main or principal Statutes or Acts which are supported by a great deal of subordinate legislation in the form of Regulations and Orders. This chapter deals with the more commonly applied main Acts that are concerned with protecting the health and safety of the working population and those who may be put at risk from the manner in which the work is carried out.
